Notes: Parking for the Pine Knob Loop Trail is South of and on the other side of Rt 7 from the main park entrance, check the trail map for more info.
This is a lovely hike over varied terrain with great views, including of nearby Mohawk Mountain (we did the hike on a mild December day and you could see snow on the ski trails).
On the way back down Rt. 7, stop at Kent Falls State Park to see the famous falls (a short walk from the parking lot).

Afterwards, finish out your day by exploring picturesque (although a bit touristy) Kent. Visit one of the art galleries, grab a gourmet coffee or splurge on a sugary treat.
